On January 2, 2010, at 3:57 pm, my daughter Delaney Grace Lydon was born. It was the happiest moment of my life…it’s really hard to describe. So far it’s been amazing, and it’s something that I think you really don’t understand unless you have a child yourself.
But if you’re here on the 200X website, you’re probably wondering…what does this have to do with the band? Well, unfortunately it means that since I do most of the web presence for the band, you won’t be hearing from us very much for a while. We’ve had to turn down some pretty awesome show offers (including MAGfest 8 and the Anime Punch convention…and a show with Machinae Supremacy in Finland), and new music has slowed to a crawl. My baby has obviously become my number one priority, and it’s not possible to sit in front of a computer and work on new music and give her the attention that she needs.
I’m not sure what point I’m trying to make…mostly I just want everyone to know that as soon as it’s possible, we’ll be back into the swing of things. We still have tons of ideas for new music. In the mean time, make sure to check out some of the other artists in our community links section. There’s still tons of great VGM out there to tide you over.
Thanks to every one of you who visit this website, and everyone who’s been supportive of Y2KX. You guys rock.
